Overview
Our refund and returns policy operates within a 7 day window. If more than 7 days have passed since your purchase, we unfortunately cannot offer the option for an exchange or refund.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and in the same condition in which it was received, as well as in the original packaging. Should the item be found to have noticeable wear, the return / exchange will not be accepted.
Non-returnable items:
- Gift vouchers purchased
- Items showing noticeable signs of wear & tear
- Items not indicating any sign of manufacturer defect / print defect
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send an email as notification that we have received the returned item. We will then also notify you of the approval / rejection of your return.
Should the return be approved, we will then offer the option of an item exchange, credit in the form of a gift voucher, or refund.
In the case of a refund request, a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 3 business days.
Haven’t received your refund?
Should you not receive a refund after receiving your approval notification and within the stipulated period, please reach out to us and we will escalate.
Please be aware that refunds can be dependent on your bank with regards to the time taken for the refund to reflect back into your account.
Sale items
Only regular priced items are eligible for a refund. Sale items will either be exchange or credited with a gift voucher.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at hello@whattheshirt.co.za
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a credit in the form of a gift voucher for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you. Please take note that we do not credit the cost of shipping.
If the item was not marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
Shipping returns
To return your product, please send us an email to hello@whattheshirt.co.za – you must request an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number before submitting a return. Please be sure to include: the date of purchase, description of the item being returned and the reason for the return, including photo(s).
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, shipping costs of the initial order will be deducted from your refund amount.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
